Mrs Jenny Tew-Guthry A.R.A.D/F.S.F.D/ M.A.T.D. Examiner S.F.D.

(School Principal, Junior and Senior Classical)

Mrs Tew-Guthry studied classical ballet in England and Australia, culminating in two years full time study with Paul Hammond.

She worked as a member of the Channel 7 Ballet and then joined J.C. Williamsons touring Australia and Asia in professional musicals including My Fair Lady, Promises Promises and Charlie Girl.

She has been teaching classical and jazz ballet at the Beau-Rock Ballet School since 1982 and became Principal in 1992. Mrs Tew-Guthry was appointed a Senior Examiner for the Southern Federation of Dance (SFD) in 1998 and she is also a co-choreographer of the current Junior Classical syllabus and the new Major Classical syllabus.  In 2002 she was awarded a Fellowship by the SFD.

Mrs Carolyn McNally L.M.S.F.D. BAppSc. Examiner S.F.D.

(Tap Coordinator, Junior, Senior and Open Tap, Eisteddfod Preparation)

Mrs McNally has been teaching classical ballet, jazz and tap for many years. She has appeared in many amateur musicals and in 1989 was nominated for the Victorian Music Guilds’ “Best New Talent Award”.

She holds four Dance Teaching qualifications including the SFD Teaching Certificate and in 1998 was appointed a Senior Examiner for the SFD.

Mrs. McNally is also a contributing choreographer to the current SFD senior tap syllabus and holds a degree in Applied Science.

Miss Kelly Bower M.S.F.D. BDes.

(Junior Classical)

Miss Bower has been attending the Beau-Rock Ballet School as a student of Classical and Jazz for over 20 years. She is an accomplished stage performer and has competed in eisteddfods/galas and other productions for most of her time at Beau-Rock. Kelly has also completed a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Fashion, and is a talented costume maker. She is currently completing a Masters of Education at Deakin University.

In 2016 Miss Bower was awarded the Southern Federation of Dance Teachers Certificate, majoring in Classical.

Miss Nicole Caddaye M.S.F.D. DipEd. (Primary)

(Junior and Senior Jazz, Production)

Miss Caddaye was a long-term student of the Beau-Rock Ballet School and is now a talented teacher, with many roles throughout the school. In 2003 she completed the SFD Teaching Certificate examinations, majoring in Jazz.

Miss Caddaye holds a Primary Teaching Diploma from Monash University and was the Academy Director at Patrick Studios Australia 2015-2016.

Mrs Tess Jarman M.S.F.D. DipEd. (Secondary)

(Junior and Intermediate Tap, Tap Production)

Mrs Jarman has attended the Beau-Rock Ballet School for over 20 years as both a teacher and student. She is a highly skilled tap dancer and has represented Beau-Rock in numerous eisteddfods and special events. Mrs Jarman is a qualified Secondary School teacher and is currently working at Mentone Girls Secondary College where she also is responsible for running the highly successful School Aerobics Program.

Mrs Jarman has successfully completed the SFD Teaching Certificate majoring in Tap.

Miss Amanda Jones M.S.F.D. Examiner S.F.D. BA. BEd. (Secondary)

(Junior and Senior Jazz, Junior and Senior Classical)

Miss Jones was a student at the Beau-Rock Ballet School for many years. In 2005 she gained her Intermediate Classical Examination and Level 10 Jazz Certificate and in 2006 she completed the SFD Teaching Certificate majoring in Classical.

In 2009 Miss Jones gained her Advanced Classical Examination and her Diploma of Education and in 2010 was appointed to the Dance Fusion Examining Panel.

In 2012 she was appointed to the SFD Board of Examiners and is currently working as a leading teacher at Mornington Secondary College.

Miss Beth Lane

(Senior Classical)

A graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, (UniMelb, 2011), Miss Lane is an internationally experienced dancer and teacher, working with choreographer Russell Dumas ‘Dance Exchange’, performing in their 2014 season ‘Love is Blind’, in Melbourne, and travelling to Europe and New York with the company in 2015, presenting work, workshops and training with international artists.

Miss Lane brings to Beau-Rock Ballet School a wide range of experience both devising and coordinating contemporary, jazz, conditioning and classical programs as well as choreographing high ranking solos for year 12 VET Dance. She works closely with students for tertiary preparation in contemporary dance, and is also a sessional staff member at the Victorian College of the Arts/University of Melbourne, where she teaches and assesses in a first year subject.

Miss Brianna McInerney M.S.F.D

(Pre-Primary Classical, Junior Jazz, Production, Eisteddfod Preparation)

Miss McInerney has been a student of the Beau-Rock Ballet School for many years. She has been highly successful at competitions and eisteddfods and has represented Beau-Rock at National level on several occasions. In 2018, Miss McInerney completed a year of full time dance at The Space. She now brings a wealth of experience from industry and knowledge of current dance trends to her students.

Miss McInerney completed the Southern Federation of Dance Teachers Certificate in 2019.

Mrs Sarah Tilmanis M.S.F.D. BSc. DipEd. (Secondary)

(Senior Jazz, Eisteddfod Coordinator, Junior/Intermediate/Senior and Classical Production)

Mrs.Tilmanis has studied classical ballet, jazz and tap for many years and has been teaching at the Beau-Rock Ballet School for over 25 years. She is also an experienced choreographer and is responsible for much of our competition work.

She is a Science teacher at Parkdale Secondary College and was responsible for the school’s successful Rock Eisteddfod productions for many years and also adjudicated the British National Rock Eisteddfod heats and finals in 2001.

Mrs.Tilmanis has completed the SFD Teaching Certificate, a Science/Education degree and is a contributing choreographer to the SFD Dance Fusion Syllabus.

Miss Eleanor Wilcock M.S.F.D. BBus. BA. (Psych)

(Senior Jazz & Eisteddfod Preparation)

Miss Wilcock has been a member of the Beau-Rock ballet school since she was a young child. She has grown into a passionate teacher and talented choreographer while also completing a combined Arts/Business degree.

Miss Wilcock has been awarded the Southern Federation of Dance Teachers Certificate in the Jazz style.

Miss Freya Wong M.F.S.D BNursScholars.

(Junior and Senior Contemporary, Senior Production, Eisteddfod Preparation)

Miss Wong is a highly accomplished Contemporary dancer and has successfully represented the Beau-Rock Ballet School at Eisteddfods and Competitions in this genre for many years, both locally and Nationally.

Miss Wong is currently implementing the new Jason Winters' Contemporary Syllabus at Beau-Rock, with students able to sit C.S.T.D examinations in this style from 2019.

Miss Wong completed her Bachelor of Nursing (Scholar's Program) at Monash University in 2019.

Miss Emma Carroll

(Junior Classical, Junior Jazz, Production, Eisteddfod Preparation)

Miss Carroll has been a student of the Beau-Rock Ballet school for over 10 years. She is an exceptional dancer/performer and has competed successfully in various styles both locally and nationally. Miss Carroll has also shown herself to be a talented choreographer of both solo and troupe routines and we look forward to seeing her future creations come to life on the stage! In 2020 Miss Carroll was accepted into full time study in Dance at 'The Space' and will also be completing her SFD Teacher's Certificate in 2021.

Miss Paige Haskins

(Junior Classical, Contemporary)

Miss Haskins has been a student of the Beau-Rock Ballet school for over 10 years. She is a very accomplished dancer in all fields and has demonstrated a talent for choreography too! Miss Haskins has successfully competed in many eisteddfods and competitions and has completed VCE studies in Dance. Miss Haskins is going to be finishing her SFD Teacher's Certificate in 2021.

Miss Kloe Lee-Smith

(Hip-Hop)

Miss Lee-Smith has been a student of the Beau-Rock Ballet school for over 10 years. While studying dance in all genres, Kloe found a passion for Hip-Hop at a young age. She has attended open classes with industry professionals and has been successful competing in hip-hop based eisteddfods and events. She has choreographed several troupes in this style for the Beau-Rock Ballet School and we now welcome her on board as a teacher!

Miss Shona Guiry

(Eisteddfod Preparation, Guest Teacher)

Miss Guiry was a member of the Beau-Rock Ballet School for many years and has since gone on to complete three years of full time dance study with Kelly Aykers FTD.

She has many performance credits to her name, having appeared in music videos, promotional performances, professional shows and various product launches. Shona is represented by JustKHOO Agency and in 2018 launched her own company, Entice Entertainment.
