We even had a very special visit from Santa on the last day of term...
Zoom classes have been a huge success this year and have allowed us to keep teaching through all of the craziness of the pandemic. Well done to all of the students who kept turning up each week and to all of the teachers for successfully navigating this tricky technology! We are eternally grateful to everyone involved for keep us going through 2020! Can't wait to get back to the studio!

Another year of SFD examinations has come to an end for the Beau-Rock Ballet School. A special congratulations to everyone who took part and now we can nervously await results! Well done to all teachers for having their students prepared and ready to go, especially first time teachers Miss Brianna, Miss Kelly and Miss Katherine! A HUGE thank-you to Miss Jenny for the hours of organisation and preparation it takes to move an entire studio through the exam period, but also for sitting and waiting for everyone to come out afterwards - the highlight for many as there is always a yummy treat waiting!
Congratulations to everyone who competed at the Bonbeach Eisteddfod over the last 5 weeks! It was our first time performing solos and duo/trios at this competition and we have had a wonderful time! We love watching everyone improve as the year progresses and we definitely have some amazing dancers emerging! We are so proud of every student who performed over the June/July holidays at the Phoenix Festival of Dance, Southern Federation of Dance Competition and the DOC. Amazing results in all genres and we love watching you all grow as technicians and performers. It was also wonderful to see the support you give to each other back stage, we are a true dancing family! Congratulations to you all!
What a wonderful afternoon we had today! Our students all performed beautifully and showed us some of what is in store for us at the comps these holidays. It was a fantastic rehearsal opportunity and I am sure that family and friends enjoyed the show. The yummy snacks and coffee were an added bonus... Congratulations to Rose Ireland and her family who organised the event as a fundraiser for her World Challenge trip later this year!

Our '3 in a Row' series with Darren Tyler has finished and we have gained so much from having him come and teach for us! Not only did we learn original Broadway Choreography from some of the most well know musicals, but his energy and enthusiasm for performance gave us the confidence to perform without limits! Lexie Paterson, Honey Parker, Freya Wong and Brianna McInerney will be performing their 2015 solos at the regional heats of the Follow Your Dreams Competition on the 19th and 20th March 2016. Performers who place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their divisions will be eligible to perform at the National Finals held in January 2017. We will keep you posted with results! Chookas girls!
