Mrs Jenny Tew-Guthry A.R.A.D/F.S.F.D/ M.A.T.D. Examiner S.F.D.

School Principal

Mrs Tew-Guthry studied classical ballet in England and Australia, culminating in two years full time study with Paul Hammond.

She worked as a member of the Channel 7 Ballet and then joined J.C. Williamsons touring Australia and Asia in professional musicals including My Fair Lady, Promises Promises and Charlie Girl.

She has been teaching classical and jazz ballet at the Beau-Rock Ballet School since 1982 and became Principal in 1992. Mrs Tew-Guthry was appointed a Senior Examiner for the Southern Federation of Dance (SFD) in 1998 and she is also a co-choreographer of the current Junior Classical syllabus and the new Major Classical syllabus.  In 2002 she was awarded a Fellowship by the SFD.

Mrs Carolyn McNally L.M.S.F.D. BAppSc. Examiner S.F.D.

Tap School Coordinator

Mrs McNally has been teaching classical ballet, jazz and tap for many years. She has appeared in many amateur musicals and in 1989 was nominated for the Victorian Music Guilds’ “Best New Talent Award”.

She holds four Dance Teaching qualifications including the SFD Teaching Certificate and in 1998 was appointed a Senior Examiner for the SFD.

Mrs. McNally is also a contributing choreographer to the current SFD senior tap syllabus and holds a degree in Applied Science.

Mrs Amanda Keen M.S.F.D. Examiner S.F.D. BA. BEd. (Secondary)

Mrs Keen was a student at the Beau-Rock Ballet School for many years. In 2005 she gained her Intermediate Classical Examination and Level 10 Jazz Certificate and in 2006 she completed the SFD Teaching Certificate majoring in Classical.

In 2009 Mrs Keen gained her Advanced Classical Examination and her Diploma of Education and in 2010 was appointed to the Dance Fusion Examining Panel.

In 2012 she was promoted to the SFD Board of Examiners and is a qualified secondary school teacher, appointed to Assistant Principal at Mordialloc Secondary College in 2025.

Miss Kelly Bower M.S.F.D. BDes.

Miss Bower has been attending the Beau-Rock Ballet School as a student of Classical and Jazz for over 20 years. She is an accomplished stage performer and has competed in eisteddfods/galas and other productions for most of her time at Beau-Rock. Miss Bower has also completed a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Fashion, and is a talented costume maker. She is currently completing a Masters of Education at Deakin University.

In 2016 Miss Bower was awarded the Southern Federation of Dance Teachers Certificate, majoring in Classical.

Mrs Tess Jarman M.S.F.D. DipEd. (Secondary)

Mrs Jarman has attended the Beau-Rock Ballet School for over 20 years as both a teacher and student. She is a highly skilled tap dancer and has represented Beau-Rock in numerous eisteddfods and special events. Mrs Jarman is a qualified secondary school teacher and is currently working at Mentone Girls Secondary College where she also is responsible for running the highly successful School Aerobics and Dance Program.

Mrs Jarman has successfully completed the SFD Teaching Certificate majoring in Tap.

Miss Maeve MacRedmond M.S.F.D

Miss MacRedmond started as a student of Beau-Rock in 2009 and in that time she has completed Classical Levels 1-Elementary and Jazz Levels 1-10, as well as successfully performing in numerous competitions and eisteddfods. She has been working as an assistant teacher for many years, with a focus on strength and development of strong classical technique.

Miss MacRedmond is currently completing a Bachelor of Science at Melbourne University and completed her SFD Teacher's Certificate in 2024.

Miss Julia McNally M.S.F.D

Miss McNally a highly accomplished classical, contemporary and tap dancer, having completed senior level exams in all styles, as well as receiving awards at eisteddfods and competitions. Miss McNally completed her SFD Teacher's Certificate in 2024.

Miss Stephanie McNally M.S.F.D. BFA. (Production)

Miss McNally has been a student of the Beau-Rock Ballet school for many years, studying all styles of dance. She is a highly accomplished tap dancer, having completed senior level tap exams, as well as receiving awards at eisteddfods and competitions.

Miss McNally has been awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre Production) from Melbourne University (VCA), and completed her SFD Teacher's Certificate in 2022.

Miss Eva Rafferty M.S.F.D. Bpara.

Miss Rafferty started dancing in 2005 and has completed several major SFD examinations, including Intermediate Classical and Level 10 Jazz, as well as successfully performing in competitions and eisteddfods since 2012. She is also a co-founder and former teacher of the 'Beau-Rock Tinies' pre-school dance program.

Miss Rafferty is a qualified paramedic, holding a Bachelor of Paramedicine from ACU, and completed her SFD Teacher's Certificate in 2024.

Miss Paige Haskins M.F.S.D Cert IV (Dance Teaching)

Miss Haskins has been part of the Beau-Rock family since childhood, growing from a dedicated student into an inspiring teacher. She holds a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management from Transit Dance, where she was honoured with the Dance Teacher’s Award for her cohort. In 2022, she attained her SFD Teacher’s Certificate, majoring in Classical.

Miss Sally-Ann Clarke

Miss Clarke is currently completing her final year of Full-Time Dance at Spectrum Global Arts, where she has honed her skills across a wide range of styles. Having danced from a very early age, she has grown into an accomplished performer and an experienced teacher and choreographer, working extensively across ballet, jazz, contemporary, and more. Her passion for dance shines through in everything she does, and she’s ready to inspire students with her dynamic approach and technical expertise.

 

Miss Nicole Caddaye M.S.F.D. DipEd. (Primary)

Miss Caddaye was a long-term student of the Beau-Rock Ballet School and is now a talented teacher, with many roles throughout the school. In 2003 she completed the SFD Teaching Certificate examinations, majoring in Jazz.

Miss Caddaye is a qualified primary school teacher. holding a Primary Teaching Diploma from Monash University, and was the Academy Director at Patrick Studios Australia 2015-2016.

Mrs Sarah Tilmanis M.S.F.D. BSc. DipEd. (Secondary)

Mrs.Tilmanis studied classical ballet, jazz and tap for over 15 years and has been teaching at the Beau-Rock Ballet School since 1991. She is also an experienced choreographer, responsible for many of Beau-Rock's competition pieces.

She is a Science teacher at Parkdale Secondary College and was the choreographer for the school’s successful Rock Eisteddfod productions between 1999-2009, adjudicating the British National Rock Eisteddfod heats and finals in 2001.

Mrs.Tilmanis has completed the SFD Teaching Certificate, a Science/Education degree and is a contributing choreographer to the SFD Dance Fusion Syllabus.
